Jim Reichardt is a native of the Chicago area. He graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1967 and earned his bachelor's degree from the George Washington University in Washington, DC in 1971. While working full-time to support a wife and family, he attended Chicago-Kent College of Law at night and received a Juris Doctor degree in 1977. He was admitted to the bar on November 1, 1977, and established his practice in Villa Park.

His practice focuses on serving individuals and families in the areas of real estate, probate and estate planning, trust administration, and general civil litigation. Transitioning to a remote working arrangement in the summer of 2022, Jim can be contacted by phone or e-mail, as indicated on the left of this page.

Bar Association Activities

He has served as a director of the DuPage County Bar Association, has been a longtime member and chair of the DuPage Bar Association Legal Aid Committee. He has served on the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly and served 12 years on the board of the Illinois Bar Foundation, including two years as chair of the Fellows. The Illinois Supreme Court appointed him as a director of the Lawyers Trust Fund from 2010 through 2016, and he served as Treasurer and later Vice President of that not-for-profit corporation, which administers grants to legal aid providers throughout Illinois.

Awards

He received the John C. McAndrews Pro Bono Award from the ISBA in 2002, and the Ralph A. Gabric Award for Professional Excellence from the DuPage Bar Association in 2003.
